Wildlife Conservation Project - Planting 500 Chokecherry and 250 Wild Plum Seedlings

Alexander Mountain Fire Area

April 19, 2025

Thanks to many sponsors from the general public, we'll be planting 500 chokecherry and 250 wild plum seedlings at Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch on Saturday, April 19. We welcome additional volunteers, around ten at this point, to help plant, ferry seedlings and water.

We also welcome borrowing the following:

One man planting auger, gas powered.

20 narrow spade shovels (regular shovels will work but narrower shovels work better)

10 "clean" five gallon buckets

10 water containers around 2.5 gallons in size, to water seedlings after they are planted.

Please use the Contact form if you'd like to help as a volunteer and if you have any of these items you can bring. Please subscribe if you'd like to be notified about Wild Nature Media events, including wildlife conservation projects.

Thank you!
